Nations from worldwide signed up Action Plan for UN MDGs together in September 8th 2000. For the purpose of demostrating the implementation progress, Devnet Association launches shooting plan of 100 –episode documentary titled Millennium Goals and Harmonious World in 2011 to be finished in five years.

Global Relief

International Aid Forum is the annual event about humanitarian relief and development, which was held Geneva, Switherland many times. It will be organized in Washington D.C. in 2011, contributing to the human development by providing opportunities of establishing parternership with various authoritative organizations, countries and famous enterprises in relief, disaster reduction and develepment field.

In the morning of 23 June 2008 organizers of Shanghai World Expo and Devnet Association formally signed up participants contract of 2010 Shanghai World Expo in the World Expo Building. Mr. Hong Hao, vice secretary of Shanghai Municipal Government and director of Shanghai World Expo signed the contract with Mr. Gao Guoqiang, the commissioner general of Devnet Pavilion and Devnet Affairs Coordination Bureau.

The Forum is organized by DEVNET. Exhibitors are mainly from the areas of humanitarian relief, disaster reduction and international development. The purpose is to improve and coordinate cross-regional communication, and to help Asian relevant enterprises present on the international stage.

DEVNET, DEVNET/TIPS is a global technology and economic trading system established together by UNDP and UNFSTD in 1985, which was based on the document of United Nations: UNFSTD、PROSECT and INT/83-T01. Its purpose is to promote the trading business, technology transfer and economic cooperation between developing countries and developed countries. In 1995, DEVNET has been appointed by ECOSOC of United Nations as the consultant category One of United Nations. The head quarter of DEVNET is located in Rome Italy. DEVNET is a non-governmental non –profit organization. It is the pioneer of cooperation project application. It makes use of network and telecommunication to create regional network for the information communication of social economic development.

The technology cooperation is based on the target of social and economic development.

1. Make contribution to the promotion of the social economy of development countries under the background of United Nations Millennium Development Goals.;

2. Propose the principles of sustainable human development;

3. Develop activities in a wide range through the usage of network communication technology to improve the living conditions of vulnerable groups in society and also to build the bridge for so-called “the gap of number”;

The organizer of the Asian exhibition area of DEVNET

DEVNET is the consultant category One of ECOSOC of United Nations will attend the “Unity & Aid Expo 2007” held by International aid Purchasing Trade Exhibitions Bureau. This is the first time that an international organization has taken the lead of Asian enterprises exhibitors.

““Unity & Aid Expo 2008” has built Asian pavilion for the first and invited DEVNET to organize the exposition together. DEVNET international and Shanghai DEVNET Technology and Information Management Centre have given sponsorship to Asia pavilion throughout the exposition.

“DEVNET has taken the lead again of the Asian enterprises exhibitors in “Unity & Aid Expo 2009”.

In 2011, “Unity & Aid Expo” has changed its name to “Washington Global Relief and International Development Forum 2011”. After 2010 Shanghai Expo, it has invited DEVNET to attend the forum and to be responsible for the organization and preparation of Asia exposition area, which means to make full use of human resources formed in the last several sessions and also means to grasp the opportunity of the strategic transfer of unity and aid to Chinese and Asian enterprises.
