◆About WINNER
WIINER project is an international project carried out by UNDFW and DEVNET/TIPS. WINNER is the abbreviation of Women Into the New Network for the Entrepreneurial Reinforcement.
WINNER project aims to promote gender equality. It will help women acquire the knowledge of electronic commerce, enterprise management and international trade through training and lecture. It will also make use the platform built by the executive companies to engage in the businesses in order to promote the development of enterprises. This project has been launched in September 1999. TIPS Chinese branch (predecessor of DEVNET Affairs Coordination Bureau in Shanghai) cooperate with Chinese Women’s Federation and Chinese Women’s Daily to hold two sessions of the training classes of electronic business and enterprise management for women managers.
Actually now the project moves to the second stage (WINNER II). The main targets include: 1. Raise the levels of women entrepreneurs in electronic business, entrepreneur management and international trade through training and building assistant WINNER station; 2. Help women enterprises present their companies and products through internet; 3. Provide WINNER participants with a forum to establish relationships with small and medium enterprises in the developing countries in order to make them understand how to negotiate and sign by WBM.
DEVNET association has organized several courses of electronic business, international trade and enterprise management in order to shorten the distance between Chinese female entrepreneurs, Chinese female companies and the world, helping their products and technologies move into international market. In addition, DEVNET has established the web site of electronic market on the internet to present and popularize the products and services of female entrepreneurs. DEVNET exhibits its products and technologies in this international platform in order to promote the export of products and to set up international image for enterprises.
◆The introduction of DEVNET WINNER Charity Ambassador
DEVNET organization has decided to invite two female Charity Ambassadors to promote WINNER projects. They are Mrs. Shoko Tamaki who is world famous charity ambassador and Mrs. Nie Yan who is a prestigious representative of Chinese female entrepreneurs.
◎Shoko Tamaki
Shoko Tamaki is from Nagoya, Aichi, Japan. She started to participate in social activities in 1982. She has been to Cambodia, Africa to relieve the refugees. She has offered economic assistance to poor children in Kenya. She has participated actively in the activities as an international volunteer. In Japan, she has offered wheelchair as gifts to children with disabilities. She has taken care of old people in old folk’s house as a volunteer as well. In addition, she has donated money to assist several non-governmental organizations such as World Children's Immunization, Red Cross, The United Nations children's Foundation and Japanese Special Olympics organization.
Shoko Tamaki has been awarded by International Baccalaureate University as “Beauty Doctor”
She has made a conversation with former first lady of Soviet Union, Mrs. Gorbachev about the relationships between two countries and the problems of world environment. On May 1998, she has invited former British president Mrs. Margaret Thatcher to visit Japan. She has held the lecture and dinner. She has also attended the International Conference on World Women held in Beijing and New York.

In 1998 and 1999, Byzantine Kingdom has awarded Medal of St. John and Medal of St. George to Mrs. Shoko Tamaki in order to praise his contribution to human welfare affairs and world peace. She has also rewarded the designation of “Madam”. She has been awarded the “Health and Science Doctor” by Washington Federal Government and Hawaii
