DEVNET has planned to establish Training System of United Nations in the Edifice of DEVNET.
The Training System of United Nations has the purposes and functions of promoting the effectiveness of United Nations in economic and social development as well as peace and safety maintenance. This association is engaged in training diplomatic talents and talents with foreign languages
Training research
1、 The development and distribution of training materials
Training institute has developed a series of training materials and text which form differently such as guideline, manuals, training materials package and computer-based learning tools, etc. All the materials are based on special training objectives of specific project. It makes use of internet, paper materials and discs to increase the number of relevant people and agencies which have been benefited from this program.
2、 various forms of training
（1）Intensive curriculum; 2-6week courses of high-density, update or deepen the understanding of the latest progress of a certain topic; these projects are usually repeated in the same place.
（2）Thematic working groups and meeting; gather all the experts from the member countries or local government, United Nations system, academic and non-governmental organizations together in order to discuss the specific topic, record the achievement of the meeting and dissimilate it.
（3）Self evaluation of capacity need; develop and test a series of methods to give support to the self-assessment of the capacity of member countries in a specific area, and make use of this project as the basis for confirmation of development projects.
（4）Technology construction based on strategic planning and operation program; make use of guideline, information and expert knowledge to give support to member countries and local government for strategic planning and operation program making.
（5）Distance learning and e-learning; make use of information and communication technology to provide trainees with training programs based on website.
3、 Develop researches relevant to training
The research activity of training institute is directly relevant to the construction project and method of training ability, first is to promote the evolution and improvement of training methods, second is to provide support of knowledge, technology and means to member countries who engage in applicable research, third is to lay emphasis on the development of evaluation means of training project.
Being as a member of the network of United Nations training institute, this international training agency, we hope to establish national training cooperative network through the regional cooperation in order to share our training resources. We consider Shanghai as the centre and promote the joint development of Yangzi River Delta region, finally forming a national training cooperative network in China in order to train for national governmental departments, national and non-governmental enterprises and companies high=level information technology talents. This is a creative action of cooperative development for the whole information training industry of China.
